After the first successful and exciting circumnavigation between 2012 and 2016, the La Medianoche is sailing around the world again. Extensively overhauled, this time without a fixed sailing plan and with a lot of leisure to discover the world. If you have flexibility in terms of time and location, you got the option of accompanying individual stages as a guest. If you are interested, please contact us!
The Catamaran
Anyone who has sailed a catamaran would agree with us that it is a pure luxury. The ship's broadness allows for spacious cabins and toilettes. The saloon and cockpit, located high above the sea, are large and comfortable with panoramic windows exposing the infinite horizon or an oncoming port.
Sailing a catamaran offers many advantages. The boat sails straight in all wind and weather conditions and the cockpit protects against wind and waves. Therefore, oilskins (wet weather protection) are rarely needed.
But that isn't enough. With a draft/gauge of only 1.10m, "La Medianoche" can reach moorings that are inaccessible by most modern yachts. Also, the ship's 15m length and 8m width makes for comfortable sailing trips. Not including to the crew's quarters, there is space for 6 passengers in 3 double cabins.
La Medianoche has a perfect layout. Each cabin has its own bathroom with enough space and an electric toilet as well as 230V sockets so that you do not have to forego the comfort you are used to at home.
The bedrooms are equipped with beds measuring 180x200cm. In the spacious salon you have a wonderful all-round view through the windows and salon door. The large seating area invites you to linger in comfort. Even those who work in the kitchen can still take part in cockpit life at any time through the opening sliding window. A spacious refrigerator keeps food and drinks cool.
